Fish’s drumming on Scents was mind-blowing-watching him flurry across every surface in front of him, building the jam, opening the hose, was very moving.
The band is at the best they’ve been since 2.0 IMO. If you’re an old fan, and it’s been a minute-give yourself the treat of revisiting live Phish, as recordings of these shows can’t capture it (obviously. )The new light rig, the sounds, the synths, the cow funk…last night made me feel a lot like it was August of ‘97, in Limestone. And even a little like my first show at Townshend Park, almost 32 years to the day (much has changed but much remains). Except for that backdrop-nothing like it anywhere in the world!
