The Mockingbird Foundation is a non-profit organization founded by Phish fans in 1996 to generate charitable proceeds from the Phish community.
And since we're entirely volunteer – with no office, salaries, or paid staff – administrative costs are less than 2% of revenues! So far, we've distributed over $2 million to support music education for children – hundreds of grants in all 50 states, with more on the way.
***SPOILER ALERT***
...the Harpua at this show was the first Harpua where Poster Nutbag was killed by Harpua. Poster Nutbag actually kills Harpua in this one, and then gets so excited that he has a heart attack and dies.
Through a strange set of circumstances, my friends drove Page to the Waterloo, NJ show in the summer of 1993. Page actually commented on this Harpua, and this little factoid. The band also apparently had been keeping track of how many times Harpua killed Poster, or something to that effect.
