The Mockingbird Foundation is a non-profit organization founded by Phish fans in 1996 to generate charitable proceeds from the Phish community.
And since we're entirely volunteer – with no office, salaries, or paid staff – administrative costs are less than 2% of revenues! So far, we've distributed over $2 million to support music education for children – hundreds of grants in all 50 states, with more on the way.
It's also a Top Ten, which is just kind of nuts. There's tons of killer stuff from 93-95 I love but ultimately I dig 97-99 more and that's represented on my ballot. I quite like @PearlJamMusic 's list though. Ditto @HortensetheMuleFacedDoll
Also, look, there is no objective voting here. I voted jams that I look to the most consistently for listening, that bring me bliss, that blow my mind. Those effects are inextricable from the experiences with have with them. If we were at the show, or when we first heard the jam, if it was one of the first jams we listened to over and over. I'm fine with that, it's as it should be.
